The Golden State Warriors may finally have a Warrior in the All-Star game this year. Stephen Curry is the ninth backcourt in the Western conference with 78,380 votes. Stephen Curry is finally getting more attention this season. With his breakout season this year, he should be getting a lot more recognition; this goes for his teammate David Lee as well.
This season, Stephen Curry and David Lee have stepped their game up to a whole other level. They’ve proven that they are All-Star ready. Now, I’m not saying that Curry and Lee will be able to push the regular All-Star’s out of their starting positions, but they are good enough to make the team.
David Lee has averaged 20.2 points and 11.1 rebounds this season. This is his best season with the Warriors thus far. During the Los Angeles Clippers game, the crowd shouted “MVP” while he was shooting his free throw shots. If we’re being rational, Lee most likely won’t be winning MVP at the end of the season, but he should be able to play during the all-star game.
David Lee isn’t even on the top 15-frontcourt players in the West for the All-Star ballot so far. Lee has delivered consistently this season and he deserves to be headed to Houston for the All-Star game this February.
David Lee and Stephen Curry have proven how deserving they are to be in the All-Star game this February. It’s up to the fans now; although, Coach Jackson stated that he may have to hold his own game if Curry and Lee don’t make it to the All-Star game.
