In today's Warriors rumors bulletin, Golden State Warriors star point guard Stephen Curry believes that the organization has undergone a complete makeover since its darkest days - fast becoming a premiere destination for potential free agents.
Per RealGM.com, Curry sees the Warriors' current status as potential players for such names as Kevin Love and LeBron James as a result of the changes the Warriors have made over the past several years.
“For me, I think it’s just the testament to just where our organization is,” Curry stated on Saturday at his Stevenson School basketball camp, via RealGM.com. “We’re an enticing place to play, and I think free agents understand that and people around the league understand that we are about winning."
“We have a great fan base, the best fan base in the world. Oracle Arena is a great place to play, and we’re on the rise as an organization. So for us to be in the conversations with a Kevin Love or a LeBron or whoever, I mean that’s something we probably were shoved to the side on those kind of conversations. That’s a good feeling knowing that we’ve done a lot and have a lot more to do.”
When asked if he would help the Warriors in a recruiting push for LeBron James, Curry indicated that he'd just let whatever happens happen.
“I don’t think four years ago if LeBron was a free agent anybody would ask him, ‘What about the Warriors?’” Curry stated. “So it’s kind of funny.”
