The Golden State Warriors have heard the rumors swirling around the Cleveland Cavs and Minnesota Timberwolves - particularly reports coming out of Cleveland that the team is willing to part with #1 draft pick Andrew Wiggins in their attempt to land Kevin Love via trade.
According to Yannis Koutroupis of Basketball Insiders, the Warriors are answering that development by taking the "untouchable" tag off of shooting guard Klay Thompson:
Warriors now willing to give up Klay Thompson for Kevin Love, who would exercise option for '15-16 if traded there http://t.co/ZH8p0I3PsH

Per Koutroupis' report, "David Lee and Harrison Barnes are expected to be a part of the deal as well. No trade is imminent, but the Warriors are willing to do whatever it takes to land Love now – even if that means letting go of a franchise favorite in Thompson."
Multiple league sources are indicating that such a change of heart on the Warriors' part could at least place them back even with the Cavs in the race to acquire Kevin Love. While Wiggins' potential is highly coveted by the Timberwolves, having an NBA-proven talent such as Klay Thompson to build around could prove too enticing for the Wolves to pass up.
Stay tuned.
