It is safe to say that guard, Jarrett Jack from the Golden State Warriors is possibly the most valuable off season acquisition on the team. The Warriors acquired the veteran player in a three-team trade when they traded former Warriors guard Dorell Wright. Which starting the season, will prove to be one of the smartest decisions made by Warriors management for this upcoming season.

Jack is a veteran player and has been in the league for seven years on a variety of different teams. As a veteran he brings knowledge of the game that can only come with years of experience in the NBA. Now that he is bringing his talents to the Warriors, the playoff run is looking better than ever, especially with the new big men the Warriors added this off-season.
With Stephen Curry’s seemingly ever-present ankle injury, Jack will be there to back him up whenever needed. But, is that the right choice? Should Stephen Curry who has been lacking in the past few seasons start over Jarrett Jack? Especially after Jack led the New Orleans Hornets to the 2011 playoffs? We’ll have to see, as of now Jack is looking at being a back up for both Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson. Of course there are also other options for Thompson's back up including Brandon Rush, who has made it clear that he will be more present on the court this upcoming season.
With Jarrett Jack, the Warriors are looking at a more stable team. A team that will be able to fill the holes if a player gets hurt instead of bringing up a player from the D-League hoping they will suffice. This year, we will see Jack strive and show us exactly how valuable he truly is for the Warriors. Being as versatile as he is, it is hard to say exactly what his position will be during this upcoming season. As for now, he is going to be Curry's back up if his ankle decides to falter once again. Warriors fans, including myself look forward to seeing Jack on the court this season and bring the Warriors one step closer to the playoffs.
