Golden State and Cleveland each had sloppy starts to the game, but after the Warriors built an eight-point lead in the first quarter, the Cavs came back and tied it at the end of the frame. Golden State looked like they were going to take control of this game with a a strong start to the second quarter, but Cleveland went on a 18-4 run to put themselves in front at the half.
Biggest Surprise:
Even without Kyrie Irving, Cleveland has held the Warriors to just 5/17 shooting (29.4 percent) from long range and have limited Stephen Curry has just eight points.
Golden State Key Player:
Klay Thompson was on fire from the opening tip, scoring 20 points on 9/13 shooting - including 2/5 from three-point range. If he can keep this up, the Warriors will be in good shape.
Cleveland Key Player:
LeBron James had totally put the Cavs on his back to this point, scoring 20 points while grabbing six rebounds and dishing out six assists. James Jones also came off the bench to score eight big points for Cleveland.
Who Has The Edge?
The Warriors. In a game this close, the advantage has to go to the home team - especially when they have a fully healthy squad. Expect Golden State's depth to play a big impact against a shorthanded Cleveland team in the second half.
