According to a report in the Sporting News, Andrew Bogut is fully healthy for the first time in years. The Warriors plan to carefully manage his minutes and let him spend most of 2012-13 recovering looks to have paid off, and there won't be any minutes restrictions on the healthy Bogut unless an unforeseen issue arises.
Warriors GM Bob Myers sounds prepared to take Bogut's training wheels off, and this is excellent news for the team. The Warriors were dangerous even with a limited Bogut, and if he returns to something close to his previous level of play, Golden State could challenge for a top-4 finish in the Western Conference.
Earlier this month, we discussed what Bogut's likely role would be, and it seems his impressive recovery has increased the minutes he's going to play. He averaged 24.6 minutes per game last season, and while he won't be playing 35 a night this year, he'll probably play around 30 minutes a night unless the Warriors are playing a close game with an elite team or blowing out a weaker one. The Warriors are done rebuilding - they're ready to contend here and now, and a healthy Andrew Bogut can help make that dream a reality.
