Veteran guard and forward Andre Iguodala has been acquired by the Golden State Warriors as part of a three-team deal, as announced today. The team also got Utah’s Kevin Murphy and future draft picks along with Biedrins, Rush and Jefferson were sent to the Jazz.
Iguodala is a 29-year-old veteran of the NBA having played for nine years already. He has been seen in a total of 41 career playoff games and stands at 6-6 being a swingman. He was a part of the 2012 Eastern Conference All Star team.
According to Warriors GM Bob Myers, Iguodala was a free agent that their team targeted starting from Day 1. He has expressed how much he is thrilled together with the team on having a highly versatile player like Iguodala to be finally on board with them. Myers sees him as a big help for the Warriors when things get to the hard court.
