Analyzing Stephen Curry’s Playoff Stats Before & After ‘The Fall’

Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry has put on some poor shooting displays in the NBA Finals, and much of the credit - rightfully so - has been given to the defense of Matthew Dellavedova.

However, Curry's performance has been dipping every since Game 4 of the Western Conference Finals, when he suffered this serious fall and suffered an apparent head injury:

Curry returned later in that game, but he has been searching for his MVP play ever since:

Game 4, Houston (post-injury): 4-for-9 FG, 3-for-4 on 3FG
Game 5, Houston: 7-for-21 FG, 3-for-11 on 3FG

Game 1, Cleveland: 10-for-20 FG, 2-for-6 on 3FG

Game 2, Cleveland: 5-for-23 FG, 2-for-15 on 3FG

Game 3, Cleveland: 10-for-20 FG, 7-for-13 on 3FG

In total, he's shooting 38.7 percent (36/93) from the field and 34.7 percent (17/49) from three-point range, both of which are well below his regular season numbers (48 percent from the field, 44 percent from long range).

Golden State will need him to rebound in a big way and return to his regular season shooting numbers in Game 4 tonight in Cleveland to avoid falling into a 3-1 hole against the Cavs.
