The Golden State Warriors aren't just 5-0. They're 5-0 with an all caps "FIVE." This Warriors team has looked dominant to start 2015-16, and things don't appear to be slowing down. Here's 3 Things We've Learned About The Warriors Through 5 Games.
3. The Defense Is Elite
The reason why this Warriors team is capable of challenging 70 wins or more this season showed itself in the team's 119-69 mauling of the Memphis Grizzlies on Monday night. Memphis shot just 27.1% from the field an 13% from three while the Dubs defense swarmed them at every turn. Golden State is capable of that every night out, and that's legit scary.
2. Steph Curry Is The Best Player Alive
Curry is averaging 35.8 points, 5.8 assists and 5.0 rebounds per game in 2015-16. He's also leading the league in OMG highlights, breakneck pace and dagger shots. There's no one around who does so much for his team so well. That includes LeBron James. Curry is the closest thing to an extraterrestrial that we have in the NBA, and we mean that in a good way.
1. The Beginning Of A Dynasty?
The Golden State Warriors look like they can't lose a game right now. The law of averages will eventually catch up to them, but that doesn't take away from just how complete of a team the Dubs have right now. You want clutch shooting? They have it. You want slash-and-kick prowess? They've got that. You want smothering defense? You get the picture...
Golden State isn't just good enough to repeat. They're good enough to build a modern dynasty brick by brick.
