The Golden State Warriors made no bones about what their intentions were in Game 3 of the Western Conference Finals, demoralizing the Houston Rockets early with great passing and dead-eye shooting before repeatedly driving the dagger in en route to a 115-80 blowout win.
Here's 3 Things We Learned From Game 3 Of The Western Conference.
1. All The Steph Curry Hyperbole Is Warranted
Curry is now the all-time leader for most threes made in a postseason (63), passing Reggie Miller early in Game 2. The crazy part? There's still 11 potential games he could play to increase that mark. You want proof that Steph Curry deserves the MVP award. Check out how he's ritually eviscerated the Rockets over the first three games of the Western Conference Finals. Simply astounding.
2. The Rockets Are Done
Houston put up valiant efforts in Game 1 & Game 2 in Oakland, falling just short in both contests after taking the Dubs to the limit in the final seconds. None of that passion and effort made the airplane ride back home to Houston, as the Rockets were simply embarrassed in all facets of the game. After this team sleepwalked through the biggest game of their season, we're comfortable moving the Warriors to the NBA Finals in our fantasy NBA Playoffs bracket.
3. The 2014-15 Warriors Are One Of The Most Complete Teams In NBA History
When they're not shooting the lights out of arenas all over the nation, the Dubs are playing lockdown defense against some of the biggest offensive threats in the NBA today. There is no team from starters to the end of the bench as deep as the Warriors nowadays, and they very well could be the deepest team we've seen in decades. It sounds like high praise, but one look at the tape from Game 3 is all it takes.
