The Golden State Warriors have clinched the top seed in the Western Conference and are close to clinching the best record in the league. Despite all of their success this season, there are still some questions this team needs to answer heading into the postseason:
3) How will the Warriors respond to adversity?
Golden State has been so good this year that they haven't faced many tough situations, though that's no fault of their own. They will inevitably face some kind of adversity in the playoffs - particularly in the Western Conference - and they need to respond positively or they'll risk going home early.
2) How will Steve Kerr balance minutes for David Lee and Andre Iguodala?
Head coach Steve Kerr took a chance by demoting Lee and Iguodala to bench roles at the beginning of the season, but both have been accepting of those moves because of the success Golden State has had. However, coaches always tighten their rotation in the postseason to keep their best players on the court longer, meaning Lee and Iguodala will see the court even less. How they react to that could negatively affect team chemistry and their play on the court, which the Warriors can't afford to have happen.
1) Can Andrew Bogut stay healthy?
Bogut is the one player that gives the Warriors legitimate size on the inside and rim protection, but he's had problems staying healthy during his career. Golden State has managed his minutes all season and he hasn't had to miss much time this year, but he'll be playing much more in the postseason.
The Warriors are significantly better on defense with Bogut on the court, especially in the half court. That will be a key factor in the playoffs where the pace of play naturally slows down, and if Bogut is forced to miss any time, Golden State becomes almost a strictly perimeter team.
