1. If I’m Ted Roof — or Mike Sewak — I’m not sleeping too soundly. Roof is Tech’s defensive coordinator. Technically speaking, his defense ticked upward from last season. The Yellow Jackets ranked 43rd in yards against and 52nd in third-down percentage defense entering Saturday’s game. They were 79th and 114th last season. Still, Paul Johnson is tough on defensive coordinators — he has had three in eight Tech seasons — and he went out of his way to disparage a reporter’s assertion that the Jackets had done OK against Georgia rushing attack except for a few long bursts.
