The UCF Knights are an offensive juggernaut and after last week’s win over the Yellow Jackets, they proved how their fast-paced approach can wear down a defense. It’s hard to imagine that they ran 92 offensive plays during that game. It was enough to overwhelm the Yellow Jackets defense. As the article points out, though, and as defensive coordinator Andew Thacker implies, the defense will learn from its mistakes. Interestingly, Syracuse, though not near the offensive powerhouse that UCF is, does have a similarly fast-paced approach to its offensive and how it runs plays. So, the UCF game may have been the perfect tune-up for the Tech defense.
