Even though he’s just a true freshman, Jordan Williams is looking to make a big impact on Georgia Tech’s offensive line this season. The surprise non-enrollment of Devin Cochran has opened up playing time for Williams, as he is currently projected to start against Florida State on September 12. Williams’ potential has led 247Sports to name him a Preseason True Freshman All-American, one of 23 in the nation. Williams was the only ACC offensive lineman to get a spot on the list. Other Jacket true freshmen, RB Jahmyr Gibbs and QB Jeff Sims, were given Honorable Mention status by 247.
