Head coach Geoff Collins made some roster announcements recently. These included additions and subtractions to the roster. In yesterday’s Tidbits, I mentioned the decision of Brad Morgan to step away from football due to medical reasons. For similar reasons, redshirt freshman wide receiver Tija’i Whatley will be leaving the program it seems. Both players will remain actively involved with the program in non-playing roles.
Collins also announced the addition of Derrik Allen. Though this isn’t really news, it is now official news. The former four star recruit officially enrolled and is now a Yellow Jacket. He will have to sit out this year, but he will be a key addition to the team and will be eligible to play next season.
