We all knew this was coming at some point. Especially with Buster Posey opting out of the 2020 MLB season, it was inevitable. Last night it finally happened, as Joey Bart got the call-up to the Giants’ 29-man MLB roster. Bart is one of the best catchers in Georgia Tech history and the highest-drafted Yellow Jacket of all-time at no. 2 overall. The Johnny Bench Award winner has dominated in the Giants’ farm system since being drafted in 2018, even getting the opportunity to play in the 2019 MLB All-Star Futures Game. Congratulations, Joey!
Many questions followed Georgia Tech’s announcement of its attendance plan for the upcoming football season.
