While Geoff Collins did a lot to bolster Georgia Tech’s offensive line through recruiting in the class of 2020 and the transfer portal, the position is still one of need for the class of 2021. One player that can address that need is Weston Franklin, who made his commitment to Tech yesterday. Franklin is a three-star composite recruit (.8784) and plays for Wayne County High School in Jesup, GA. The offensive guard is now the third offensive lineman in the 2021 class for Georgia Tech and the second-highest rated recruit overall behind WR James BlackStrain.
