The true freshman usurped would-be starter Marcus Marshall during camp and never looked back. Only 5.9% of his rushes gained zero or fewer yards, with Texas Tech’s Da’Leon Ward coming in 2nd place at 7.8%.
Missing several games helped keep Mills off of the national radar by stymieing his total rushing yards, but those of us who watched him last year have seen what he’s capable of. There’s no telling what’s in store for the true sophomore after another year getting comfortable in the offense, and I’m sure more national recognition is not far away.
