On Monday, Georgia Tech basketball’s star sophomore, Josh Okogie, announced that he would forego his final two seasons of eligibility to enter the 2018 NBA draft. The announcement came on the heels of a strong performance at the NBA Combine last weekend, where Okogie tested at or near the top of the guard class in nearly every metric. After the combine, Okogie’s stock was on the rise and officially turning pro was a no-brainer. In The Ringer’s mock draft, Okogie rose from the mid second round to the 28th pick after the combine and is now a top 25 player on all three of the sites’ NBA Draft experts’ personal rankings.
