There was a lot of activity by former Yellow Jackets on the professional golf tours. Former Tech golfer Stewart Cink turned in quite a performance at the Masters last week. His 2-under-par score of 286 was enough to earn him a tie for 12th place. That’s enough to guarantee him a trip back to Augusta next spring. Matt Kuchar and Larry Mize were also participants in this year’s Masters Tournament, but unfortunately both missed the cut after the second round. In other news, former Yellow Jacket Luke Schniederjans tied for fifth at Callaway Gardens in Pine Mountain, Ga. As the article mentions, this was for the tour’s qualifying school event which earned him status on the MacKenzie Tour - PGA Tour Canada.
