For Paul Johnson and the Georgia Tech football team, the biggest storyline of spring practice will be finding the successor to former quarterback Justin Thomas. I’m willing to put a large amount of money on rising junior Matthew Jordan being the go-to guy for kickoff against Tennessee, and that would probably be both the safest and smartest move for Paul Johnson to make during the early-goings this season; Jordan would provide stability for the offense with his understanding of the system during those first two weeks that tend to be rocky as guys figure out what works and what doesn’t.
