Georgia Tech became the luckiest team in the nation yesterday evening, being awarded a home game in the NIT despite being a six seed in the 2017 edition of the No Invitation Tournament. Thanks to some conveniently scheduled maintenance on Indiana’s arena (or the fact that next week is Indiana’s spring break, depending on who you ask), McCamish Pavilion will get to play host to a top-tier school for one final time this season. I’d imagine that the environment will be as loud and energetic as it was for the last few games of the season, hopefully to the point that Hoosiers can’t even hear their head coach getting fired over the chants of “airball”.
