After a less than thrilling opening series against Eastern Kentucky, the Tech Baseball team took care of business and beat the Mercer Bears 7-3 yesterday. In just his third career appearance, C Kevin Parada had an incredible showing, batting 4-4 with a home run and a double. Parada was a highly-ranked prospect coming out of California, so it’s good to see him performing well early in his Yellow Jacket career. Tech’s pitchers were good, only allowing five hits. However, they allowed all three of Mercer’s runs in the ninth inning, so there was a little stress at the end.
