You’ve got to feel for Georgia Tech basketball coach Josh Pastner, whose first ever ACC game — a matchup with a top-10 UNC team at McCamish Pavilion — tips off exactly one hour after Tech’s bowl game against Kentucky. North Carolina’s pedigree will draw a fair number of fans, but I fear that the vast majority of them will be of the Tar Heel variety — unless Pastner’s team can rattle off a few big wins in the coming weeks, of course. It’s unfortunate that the game is locked into its spot given that quite a few more Tech fans would likely be able to watch if it were later, but it is what it is.
