As reported by the AJC’s Ken Sugiura, it appears that Paul Johnson has already decided on his replacement for recently departed QB/BB Coach Bryan Cook. Cook, who recently took the offensive coordinator job at Georgia Southern, will remain on staff through the bowl game, so any official announcement will likely come in the new year. That said, Johnson’s indication that a decision has been reached likely points towards an in-house promotion. Assistant operations director Craig Candeto would be the most likely to step into the coaching role. Candeto was CPJ’s first QB at Navy and threw and rushed for over 1,000 yards in the 2003 season.
