Georgia Tech completed a perfect 3-0 season sweep of the almighty SEC over the weekend, downing the Kentucky Wildcats by a final score of 33-18 at Jacksonville’s EverBank Field. The win means that Tech is now 5-1 against the SEC since the start of the 2014 season, with two wins over Georgia and one apiece over Vanderbilt, Kentucky, and Mississippi State; the only loss was the 13-7 defeat in 2015’s Clean, Old-Fashioned Hate matchup. As for this season’s TaxSlayer Bowl, it was all Tech from the early goings when the Jackets recovered a fumble from Wildcats quarterback Stephen Johnson and returned it for a touchdown on the first drive of the game.
