Early on it looked like it would be a very close game, but the Yellow Jackets were able to capitalize on the Blue Devils’ turnovers and other mistakes. As the article mentions, Tech quarterback Jeff Sims had a fairly good day passing for 146 yards with three touchdowns. In addition to that he rushed for another 108 yards, but the star of the game would have to have been Jahmyr Gibbs. The true freshman running back rushed for 91 yards and two touchdowns and caught four passes for 48 yards to lead all receivers.
