Georgia Tech and head coach Danny Hall got some great news earlier today when it was announced that the Jackets will be making the journey down to Gainesville for a regional meeting hosted by the Florida Gators, the NCAA Tournament's top seed.
This will be Tech's first NCAA Tournament appearance since a lackluster performance a couple of seasons ago in Oxford, and the team will have to work extra hard to make anything happen in what could prove to be one of the toughest regionals of the year.
Though the Jackets were certainly on the bubble, the team's odds of making it in almost always outweighed the odds of missing out on the tournament; the surprising part here is that Tech was named as a two seed despite a losing conference record and a current three-game losing streak.
