In their first appearance of 2019, the Jackets started hot and worked the Demon Deacons from Wake Forest, 92-79. On its way to putting up its highest point total under head coach Josh Pastner, Tech scored the first points of the game and never relinquished the lead. Wake kept things within 10 points for most of the game, but even with a late surge and crazy deep threes from Brandon Childress (who had a game-high 28 points), the Deacons weren’t able to get any closer than within one. With their loss, Wake Forest has now lost 13 straight games vs Georgia Tech in Atlanta.
