The one player who has been on the roster of both Georgia and Georgia Tech is spending this week in a fitting role. Tech A-back and Georgia transfer J.J. Green is serving as a member of the offensive scout team, helping portray the Georgia offense for the Yellow Jackets defense.
Green transferred to Tech from Georgia last winter after two seasons with the Bulldogs. A running back and defensive back at Georgia, Green made the unusual switch on the basis that the Tech offense was a better fit for him. At 5-foot-9 and 187 pounds, Green fits in the ranage for an A-back and less so the mold for a tailback at Georgia, where he played defensive back as a sophomore.
