Saturday, the Miami Hurricanes had their final home game of the 2015 season when they easily defeated Georgia Tech. Once again, a sparse crowd saw the ‘Canes play. Since moving to Sun Life Stadium before the 2008 season, crowd attendance (or lack of it except for the game against FSU every other year) has been a hot topic for fans and some influential people in the Miami area.
One of those is prominent Hurricanes fans with a deep pocket is Marcus Lemonis. The millionaire CEO and star of the CNBC reality show “The Profit” wants to see the ‘Canes move out of a stadium they can’t fill and into something closer to campus:
move @MiamiHurricanes to #tropicalpark #newstadium.
