Just two weeks after the Men’s Golf squad triumphed in the ACC Championship, team-leader Ollie Schniederjans earned another piece of hardware, winning the ACC Player of the Year award for the second straight year.
Schniederjans has six victories and 26 top-10 finishes in his career, including one victory and eight top-10 finishes this season. He peaked at No. 1 in the World Amateur Golf Rankings from June to August of 2014, receiving the Mark H. McCormack Medal for this distinction. He now sits at No. 10 in Golfstat and No. 7 in Golfweek rankings.
Among other accomplishments this season include playing in the US Palmer Cup, the premier international team competition for amateur golf.
