It was much too little much too late. Georgia Tech fell to Notre Dame 30-22 in a game that wasn’t really that close.
Georgia Tech looked sluggish and indecisive. The team put the ball on the ground twice and had a number of pitches unable to to be secured initially, delaying the turn upfield.
Some of it was the effect of Irish size and athleticism that Tech had yet to see this year. The Irish were able to stop the B-back dives while still committing enough linebackers to take away the QB and pitch man, something few teams are able to do.
