A fourth-quarter effort that saw Georgia Tech score 19 points while keeping Syracuse to just 7 helped the Georgia Tech women’s basketball team on Sunday night upset No.12 Syracuse at home at McCamish Pavillion. The game which included federal employees in the stands who received free tickets to the game was the Jackets biggest win of the season and moved the record to 13-6 on the season.
The Jackets didn’t have the best start in the first half and entered half time down 35-25 but their second-half effort including their fantastic fourth-quarter helped get the job done. The loss is Syracuse’s third of the season.
