After the men’s team got their day in the spotlight yesterday, the Georgia Tech’s women’s basketball team found out where it’ll start its journey in the 2021 NCAA tournament in San Antonio, TX tonight. In its first tournament appearance since 2013-14, Tech finds itself seeded #5 in the Hemisfair region (#1 seed: South Carolina) and will face off against #12-seed Stephen F. Austin at 4:30pm on March 21st (TV: ESPNU). This year’s 5 seed is tied with 2011’s seeding for Tech’s second-highest seeding in program history behind a #4 seeding in 2014.
The Ladyjacks finished first in the Southland Conference during the regular season, posting a perfect 14-0 conference record as part of a 24-2 overall record.
