“What’s a tight end again?” Is probably a question a lot of Georgia Tech fans have jokingly asked themselves over the last few months. After all the program hasn’t had a player at the position since 2007. In 2019, the position will make its return on The Flats and it will be headlined by UConn transfer Tyler Davis.
The former quarterback turned tight end will look to become an integral part to the Jackets offense in 2019 and Friday will be his first opportunity to introduce the fan base himself and reintroduce them to the position overall.
When used properly tight ends have a chance to be a huge part of a team’s offensive success.
