During the Duke series the Yellow Jackets got their season back on track. They carried a 6 game losing streak into the weekend and then dropped game one, 2-1 in 8 on Friday. Then as part of a double header the Jackets found themselves quickly down 3-0 in game 2.
Staring down the barrel of an 8 game losing streak and worse a series loss Tech senior Draven Sonnon sparked the offense with a solo shot. After the Jackets tied the game at 3 in the 6th, Cameron Stanford hit a home run in the 7th to give the Jackets a 4-3 win and escape the day with a chance to win the series.
