On Saturday, Qua Searcy’s dive to seal a Georgia Tech win over their in-state rivals ensured it would be a good weekend for the Yellow Jackets’ coaches and fanbase. On Sunday afternoon, the weekend got a little better as the coaching staff got word that recently-offered QB Tobias Oliver had committed to Georgia Tech.
Oliver is listed around 6’2”, 180 pounds, and hails from Northside High School in Warner Robins, GA. His only other reported FBS offers were from Troy and Army, but he’s gotten more interest from bigger programs throughout the season, as he’s led his high school team to an 11-2 record with an upcoming appearance in the state semifinals this weekend.
