Redshirt junior Christian Campbell has been the epitome of a team-first player at Georgia Tech. Through his first four seasons on The Flats, Campbell has seen limited playing time in all reality when compared to other players and his stat sheet shows just that. Entering this season, Campbell appeared in 20 games, mostly in special teams roles while also being a reserve safety.
When it was announced that A.J Gray would not be able to play in 2018 due to a heart condition, it was widely thought that Campbell had a strong opportunity to move into the starting free safety role.
