The search for Georgia Tech’s 16th head football coach is over. After an eight-day coaching search, Temple head football coach Geoff Collins is the man for the job according to The Athletic’s Jeff Schultz. Collins leaves the Owls after two seasons, collecting a 15-10 record with the Owls.
Collins was a graduate assistant for the Yellow Jackets during the 1999-2001 seasons under head coach George O’Leary. After his three years as a graduate assistant, he would move onto Western Carolina as their defensive coordinator from 2002 to 2005. In 2006, Collins returned to The Flats as Tech’s recruiting coordinator for one season.
