Georgia Tech has landed their 18th commitment in the 2019 recruiting class in three-star New Jersey tight end Dylan Deveney. The former Rutgers commitment decommited from the Scarlet Knights on Sunday night and now has announced his commitment to the Yellow Jackets.
Deveney becomes Georgia Tech’s first tight end commitment since Austin Barrick in the 2006 recruiting class. The commitment for the Yellow Jackets comes just two days before early national signing day when most committed recruits are expected to put pen to paper and ink their letters of intent.
At 6-foot-6 and 245-pounds, Deveney is physically mature enough that he could make an impact as early as next year for the Yellow Jackets.
