The first half was abysmal for the Yellow Jackets only gaining 54 yards of offense in the first half as Minnesota stuffed Taquon Marshall and the option on seemingly every play. The perimeter run game was almost non-existent for the entire game. The highlights of the game came from a 44-yard field goal kicked by Wesley Wells and a big touchdown for Nate Cottrell on a 20-yard pitch play.
The Offense Was Bad:
The option offense requires a team to have superior blocking and decision-making from the QB in order to be run smoothly and properly. Neither of those things were happening for the Yellow Jackets today.
