Geoff Collins got some really big news today! Marietta-native Derrik Allen announced on Twitter that he was transferring from Notre Dame back home to Georgia Tech!
Coming out of Lassiter High School, Allen was a consensus four-star recruit (5.9 on Rivals and 0.9516 on the 247 Sports Composite). In his lone season in South Bend, Allen redshirted and it doesn’t look like he appeared in any games. With that, Allen will likely have to sit this season and then have three left to play, and that could put him in a pretty good position to get some playing time.
