In the countdown to kickoff series, we go back a little way to LB Steven Sylvester who was a big locker room presence for the Yellow Jackets under Paul Johnson. He has continued his career after playing by being a graduate assistant at Tech and is currently the running backs and special teams coordinator at Jacksonville University.
Sylvester was a member of the 2008 recruiting class and signed with the Yellow Jackets after receiving offers from Alabama, North Carolina, and Virginia Tech. In his career at Georgia Tech, he notched 154 total tackles including 19.5 for loss and 7 sacks.
