I hesitated to write about a freshman because there are so many factors. Boom or Bust? Redshirts? Academics?
However, incoming freshman Jahmyr Gibbs is the closest to a sure thing we’ve had in a while.
Recruiting
Gibbs was a highly touted recruit who committed (via Tashard Choice) early in the 2020 cycle. He rattled off a stellar senior season at Dalton (Dalton, Ga.) compiling 2554 yards and 40 TDs.
Gibbs got offers from all the usual suspects but had a late push from Ohio State and Florida.
