Georgia Tech cornerback Myles Sims will be eligible to play in 2019 starting on Thursday night against the Clemson Tigers. Sims, who transferred to Tech this offseason from Michigan received the good news on Wednesday that he had won his appeal after the NCAA initially declined his waiver to play immediately in 2019.
The Atlanta native was originally a four-star recruit in the 2018 recruiting cycle and was considered a top-200 prospect nationally. The Westlake High School standout committed to the Wolverines over 35 other scholarship offers including Alabama, Auburn, and Clemson among other top programs nationally.
Now that Sims is eligible, the Yellow Jackets secondary has received a massive boost and one that an impact will be felt immediately within.
