Losing an upperclassman is tough, and only gets tougher when the depth chart at his position was already so thin.
Paul Johnson revealed on Tuesday morning that rising junior A-Back Dennis Andrews has been dismissed from the football program, according to an AJC Report. The move comes a few weeks after a post-spring depth chart was released, omitting Andrews, who was thought to be an heir apparent to one of the recently-vacated starter spots.
The dismissal was said to be for an unspecified "violation of team rules". The violation wouldn't be Andrews' first incident of disciplinary action at Georgia Tech, after he was suspended for the first two games of the 2014 season for a violation of the Georgia Tech Student-Athlete Conduct Policy.
