Following the season, Georgia Tech football fans were calling for Georgia Tech football defensive coordinator Ted Roof to be fired. The Jackets defense under Roof the last few seasons has underwhelmed and his play calling had been questionable at times.
As time went on and no move was made by the Jackets fans got frustrated. That being said, Ted Roof will no longer be returning next season as Georgia Tech’s defensive coordinator. The Georgia Tech alum and father of linebacker TD Roof is heading to North Carolina State. Roof will serve as the Wolfpack’s 10th coach.
The move comes on the last day of the Early Signing Period and luckily for the Yellow Jackets, all of their defensive commitments signed this week.
