Running back Jamious Griffin is one of the biggest recruiting wins for Geoff Collins so far in his tenure. The Rome, Georgia native was a force in high school, the workhorse of Rome High School’s offense in what has been a dominant program the last few seasons.
Griffin was originally committed to NC State before flipping his commitment to the Yellow Jackets. Griffin is a hard runner who with a 9.1 yard per carry average in his senior season has a demonstrated ability to break tackles and pick up extra yardage with his physicality. The best comparison I can think of to describe his running ability is Jonathan Dwyer and his ability to bounce off of tackles.
