A highly recruited quarterback out of high school, Jordan Yates committed to the Yellow Jackets last summer in 2018 before his stellar breakout senior season at Milton High School. In his final recruiting rankings, 24/7 Sports had him as a top-750 player nationally and 18th in position.
Clocking in at 6-foot-0, 200lbs, Yates enters a crowded position sitting with Lucas Johnson (RS Sophomore, thanks to the NCAA’s eligibility waiver), Tobias Oliver (RS Sophomore), and James Graham (RS Freshman) as favorites to be starter this upcoming 2019 season. For that reason, it is speculated that Yates will probably receive his redshirt for this upcoming season, but thanks to the NCAA’s new redshirt rule, Yates would still be eligible to play in up to 4 games this season.
